Annual Fundraiser Video


Situation

The Brain Tumor Foundation approached Magnet Media with a need: a video to present at its “A Taste For Life” Annual Tribute Dinner, an event to raise money for the foundation’s early detection, preventative brain scan work. The video needed to tell the story of the foundation, of its founder and chairman, and to express the important work being done to detect disease in time to save lives.

Solution

With a strategic focus on fluid storytelling, Magnet Media set out to weave multiple narratives to tell one cohesive and overarching story about the foundation’s history and ongoing work. To get the job done, and done well, Magnet interviewed actor Mark Ruffalo, the foundation’s chairman Michael Schreiber, and chef Chris Jaeckle about each of their personal experiences dealing with brain tumors. Adding in commentary from experts and family members, along with beautiful footage to illustrate the past, present, and future of the Foundation, the video succeeds in its goal to be informative and sincere.

Result

The Brain Tumor Foundation was very pleased with the video. It was well received by the audience at the event and effective in sharing the foundation’s story, purpose, and its goals going forward. The video continues to receive views, now living on the foundation’s website as an informational tool.
