Startup companies need venture capital. They need recognition, a customer base, web traction, and more. How do they get any of that? Where should they start? Greenhouse came to Magnet with these very questions. The startup—a web platform used to manage and streamline companies’ recruiting efforts with built-in best practices guidance and marketing and promotion tools to get word out about job openings—needed not only to explain its services and offerings to generate business, but also needed to get the attention of venture capitalists looking to invest.
To provide Greenhouse with what it needed to promote its brand through video, Magnet produced a short, animated “explainer” video to live on the company’s website and to be used as a promotional tool via email. This short, simple, yet informative and beautiful piece provides consumers with an overall understanding of the company’s services and offerings.
Additionally, Magnet worked with venture firm Resolute to produce a short, cost-efficient company trailer video, in which Greenhouse CEO Daniel Chait introduces and explains his company’s offering in an effort to gain the attention of venture capitalists.
Greenhouse loved both videos and now uses each to explain its offerings and seek funding via the Greenhouse website and through email campaigns.
“We’re thrilled with the final cut of our product video! The Magnet team was great to work with and extremely responsive – and the video itself is slick, professional and clearly communicates the essence of our company,” said Greenhouse UX Lead Michael Tyrrell, who worked closely with Magnet on the animated video.
