Situation

Magnet Media’s original series “Traditional Media in Transition” (TMIT) chronicled the challenges and innovations undertaken by leaders in media, entertainment, and technology. Hard Rock Cafe was both key account for series sponsor Microsoft and an innovator in taking their brand to the web. The developers and designers at Vertigo designed a site with Microsoft Silverlight using the deep zoom feature to create a compelling visual experience of the Hard Rock’s iconic collection of Americana.

Solution

Microsoft requested that Magnet focus one of the episodes of its “Traditional Media in Transition” (TMIT) on the Hard Rock Café’s use of deep zoom technology on the Silverlight platform to bring its vast collection of in-store memorabilia to the masses via the web.

Result

The episode featuring the Hard Rock Café and its use of Microsoft Silverlight deep zoom technology successfully integrated Microsoft and Hard Rock Café into the series and demonstrated their respective brands.
