The San Francisco-based startup app Pact (formerly known as Gym-Pact) needed a video to help initiate its website rebranding, explain its new slate of member offerings, reach the media, and be used as marketing collateral. With the straightforward slogan, “Earn cash for living healthy, paid by members who don’t,” the app works to pay users who meet posted fitness and healthy eating goals, while charging those who fall short. Pact came to Magnet Media for a video with a quick turnaround goal – to be shot, edited, and delivered within one month’s time.
Working with Pact on site in San Francisco, Magnet came up with a cost-efficient idea and approach based on a desire for humor and clear messaging. Magnet then moved on to produce and edit the final video on location in NYC within that tight one month deadline.
The Pact video grabbed the attention of ABC News, Lifehacker, and TechCrunch after its launch. It lives on Pact’s homepage, as well as on YouTube, where it received more than 9,500 views within weeks.
“The Pact team is extremely happy with the final results of our new video,” said Marissa Window, Pact Marketing Lead. “The Magnet Media team’s creativity and great depth of knowledge were key factors in making our video vision become a reality. The video has been featured on ABC News, TechCrunch, and numerous blogs. It was a pleasure working with Magnet and we hope to work with them again on future projects.”
